July 13 - Flower Sunday and Coffee Hour in the Rose Garden

July 20 - Commissioning Middle School Youth for Summer Mission Trip

July 27 - Worship In The Park.  Come to the home of Leonard and Bonnie Graham (12700 SE Evergreen Hwy) for worship in a beautiful park setting at 10:30 a.m.  Afterwards, stick around for a picnic with volleyball, rowing boats on their small lake and table fellowship.

Aug.  10 - Olympics Sunday. Worship followed by our own version of the Summer Olympics. Bring a picnic lunch. There will be games for all ages and athletic abilities!

Sept. 1 - Church Picnic at Vancouver Lake Park     Bring some food to share and bring your own utensils and drink.  Come sing some songs!

Sept 14 - Kick-Off Sunday including Communion.  As we come to the table to be fed, let us bring our offerings of food for the hungry of Vancouver.

We are in the midst of a deep shift in human history and the life of the church that demands prayerful informed reflection by all followers of Jesus Christ. The session of the congregation adopted a proposal in November 2007 for a congregational sacred conversation as a spiritual discipline during Lent.

The purposes of this sacred conversation are:

- To seek God’s direction and call for the church
- To deepen our level of conversation about God and the church
- To hear from some key Christian thinkers of the day
- To seek some answers to important questions i.e. Why church? What makes a church a church? What does it mean to be Christian in the 21st century? What is God calling us as the church to be and do?
